Try a smaller model on a narrow task
Anthropic released Haiku 5.5 for high-volume tasks such as summarising and classification.
How it could apply (our suggestion): Our suggested test: draft a category and next step for incoming requests; keep a person responsible for the reply.
Small test, data and cost checks
- Try it small
- Use 20 fictional or approved redacted requests with known categories. Compare errors and correction time against the current process before adopting.
- Data check
- Review provider terms and retention before sending any real request. Remove customer identifiers and confidential context.
- Cost check
- Check current API prices, plan eligibility and measured tokens per request. Set a hard test budget first.
- Caveat
- Vendor benchmarks do not establish accuracy on your requests. This page does not run the model.
Check your pages before buying GEO tactics
Google's guidance connects generative search visibility to foundational SEO and useful content, and warns against artificial mentions and special-schema claims.
How it could apply (our suggestion): Our suggested test: inspect one service or product page for crawlability, clear facts, helpful text and accurate structured data.
Small test, data and cost checks
- Try it small
- Record the page's index status and real enquiries before making a bounded improvement. Compare later observations without attributing every change to the edit.
- Data check
- Keep customer names and private business records out of public pages. Search Console access needs the site's permission.
- Cost check
- Agree the audit and implementation scope before buying tools or committing to a recurring service.
- Caveat
- This is existing guidance, not a new October release. Eligible pages are not guaranteed rankings, AI citations or traffic.
